Email Bison vs LeadEngine.ai
Which one gets you better results?
Hi, Patrick here. I’ve been asked A LOT about how LeadEngine.ai compares to Email Bison.
I’m proud of the comparison actually.
Bison has built up a nice reputation in a short period of time.
(kudos to the Bison the team for sure)
LeadEngine is also newer to market.
So, I’ll try to be as unbiased as I can given I’m the founder of the competing platform.
Overdrive Accelerator
We’re investing heavily into helping customers get the result they’re looking for with cold email (bookings, customers, etc). Even if they’ve failed in the past. Our goal is to 10x the likelihood they succeed instead of doing it themselves.
That’s why we have:
→ Onboarding calls, frameworks, strategies, processes, blueprints
→ White-Glove Implementation (inboxes, campaigns, leads)
→ Weekly Live Support (Support calls, coaching, accountability)
→ Overdrive Guarantee (Generate deals or it’s free until you do.*)
Dedicated Private Infrastructure
I’m pretty sure we’re doing things quite differently.
LeadEngine has not just dedicated IPs but you also get:
→ 4 dedicated servers
→ Core Email Engine Server
→ Sending Server
→ Reply Server
→ Webhook Server
This results in better system performance.
In addition we have:
→ Multiple dedicated IPs
→ That auto rotate
→ And auto refresh (new IPs)
Lastly, you can also spin up completely new servers & assign them to client workspaces.
That all said, I’m sure Bison is doing cool things we aren’t, or some of this.
AI Copywriting
This is probably the biggest differentiator from a software perspective.
Don’t quote me on this, but I believe Bison has basic email templates. Not sure about spintax.
But LeadEngine has:
→ Template mode
→ AI Spintax mode
→ Dynamic AI mode (on-message AI copy randomization)
→ AI Personalized Mode
This makes the platform more robust with less tools to accomplish your goals.

Warmup Pool
I think Bison has launched a warming product now, but don’t think they had one until recently.
We’ve been around a while with our Uptics product and email warmup.
The LeadEngine warming pool has some added perks:
→ AI Copy Generation (based on your actual messaging)
→ We limit on Custom SMTP accounts protect our pool
→ Warmup and live emails work together to maintain daily sending levels
AI Autopilots
I believe Bison’s strategy is less focused on reply automation and more integrations.
LeadEngine has built in AI for:
→ Reply Copilot/Autopilot
→ AI Lead status updating (and reporting)
→ Lifecycle status updates
→ Sentiment updates
→ Automated list segmentation
This means there’s less busy work and more time to focus on conversions. The AI can have conversations with your leads without intervention.

Sending algorithm
I was talking to one of the top cold email experts (you probably know him).
One of his biggest complaints about Bison was their algorithm and email scheduling.
Apparently, right now, it schedules campaign after campaign.
Which can mean a slow down in campaign launch and sends not being distributed properly.
LeadEngine schedules all campaigns simultaneously.
And every campaign validates and schedules hourly.
Validation
Both Bison and LeadEngine have basic email validation that is included in subscriptions.
But LeadEngine takes it a couple steps further:
→ Catch-all scoring for risky emails
→ AI Lead scoring to ensure prospects are the ICP you want to target

This can reduce back and forth with other tools and the need for things like Clay tables.
The goal is to remove as many irrelevant leads from your campaigns that will get you in trouble.
Database Free Refueling (coming soon)
Many business spray and pray their lead lists. This results in high bounce rates, high spam rates, lower conversions, more infrastructure requires.
We’re solving this with:
→ Lookalike Leads (finds leads who look like your best customers/prospects.
→ Social Keyword Engagement (Finds leads who engage with topics online)
→ Lookalike Refuel (adds more leads to campaigns based on positive replies)
This results in lower costs, higher conversions, and less problems.

This is a mockup design
Reporting
Bison has reporting of course, but I figure I’ll point out some benefits of our reporting:
→ Deep Email Provider reporting
→ 13 stage lead status reporting
→ AI Messaging reporting
→ Domain/Account level reporting
→ Fast as hell stats loading
→ And a beautiful Dashboard report!

There’s a lot that we have in common too:
→ Unlimited leads
→ Unlimited Workspaces
→ A/Z testing
→ Custom properties
→ Webhooks
→ And much more
At the end of the day, determining the best system, comes down to your use case and preferences.
We each have our pros and cons.
Hope this helps from our perspective.
Do your due diligence and pick what is best for you!
